How long is the Vuelta del Cañón hike?
The full loop covers 12 km, typically taking around 5 to 6 hours including stops at the waterfalls along the way — the longest route we run in Bajos del Toro.
How many waterfalls will I see?
Several — the exact count depends on the day's conditions, but the loop is designed to string together multiple falls rather than lead to just one.
Is Vuelta del Cañón worth doing over a shorter hike?
If you have a full day and want the most complete picture of the valley in one outing, yes — it's rated 5 stars by past guests and covers more ground and more waterfalls than any other route we offer.
The full loop, waterfall by waterfall
Where most of our hikes take you to a single waterfall and back, Vuelta del Cañón circles the canyon as a full loop, stringing together several falls and river crossings across 12 kilometres. It's built for hikers who'd rather spend a whole day covering ground than pick just one destination.
Your guide sets a steady pace to fit the distance into the day, timing rest stops around the best swimming spots and pointing out the waterfalls that are easy to miss if you're not local to the valley.
Who this hike is for
